Transition of the patient that is discharged after a surgery and challenges they will face at home - Research Paper Example My role as a nurse involves the management of care after discharge in order to enhance the healing process of the patient. Particularly, this will entail the dissemination of the right kind of information necessary to enhance the healing process o the patient. The home environment can be regulated in a manner that fosters the healing process. Without such regulation, it could turn potentially dangerous to the patient. This process of management involves an acknowledgement of the deficiencies of the home environment and the need to manage the discharge process and the intervening period in ways that add value to the healing process. For Ms M’s condition, these conditions revolve empowering her with sufficient knowledge to enable her to manage aspects of her own recovery. It will also involve the process of empowering the family members with the right kind of information that will be necessary in the provision of family support in the course of her healing process. The intervent ion also considered matters related to diet, which forms part of the key requirements of her quick recovery. Experience of transition to home After her discharge, Ms M will undergo healing in an environment of solitude. She is a widow and stays alone as her children mother and sisters live in different places. Her husband died of graft vs host disease after undergoing a transplant. Although she receives occasional support from her visiting children, she requires constant watch and help in order to protect her from strenuous physical activity. Although she lives separately from her mother and the rest of the family, Ms M enjoys close correspondence and contact with all of them. This support would constitute significant positive force to aid in the healing process. Except for her mother, other members of the family demonstrate strength and understanding of her condition. Her son shows up occasionally to assist her with menial tasks around the home. Ms M deliberately shields her mother from the truth of her health condition fearing that she might panic. Nevertheless, she demonstrates remarkable courage and enthusiasm, which are essential in the healing process. One challenge is that the family members available to assist her may not have the necessary information and expertise of handling Ms M in her present condition. While at the hospital, Ms M was under the care of competent medical personnel. Furthermore, her diet received proper regulated and her eating monitored. The hospital environment was generally conducive for her healing process to take place. However, this schedule changed after discharge. She had to fend for herself and live her life away from the guidance and monitoring of trained professionals. It is in line with the realization of the attendant challenges that a follow-up program became necessary. The overarching intention to create conditions and an environment of support and the provision of necessary support for faster healing in recognition o f the unique challenges and difficulties, which Ms M faces. I conducted a brief analysis on Kraft Foods and Hansen’s Natural, to compare and evaluate the ways in which the concept of globalization has made an impact in their individual tactics globally. Kraft Foods and Hansen’s Natural are two similar corporations with dissimilar ways of operations. They operate differently in structure, accessibility, size, strategy, and international marketing. They both share the similarity of working in the food industry. Hansen’s goods are not as broad as Kraft Food’s. Their products are restricted to the beverage sector, while Kraft Food’s products are featured in both beverages and food sectors. Therefore, Hansen’s has not been as dominant as Kraft Foods internationally. Kraft Foods is a renowned American confectionery, food and beverage, independent public company. It markets many brands in more than 155 countries where 40 of the brands are at least a century old and 12 of the brands, annually, profit over a billion dollars worldwide. The mission of Hansen Beverage Company is to satisfy consumers’ needs for superior quality and great tasting, healthy, natural and functional beverages. Hansen’s is known for their various alliances with Coca Cola and Anheiser Bush has landed their company’s global distribution into Canada, Mexico, and Western Europe. Hansen’s relies on its partnership with the distributors to deal with globalization for their company. Till present day, Hansen’s Natural is a local company. They don’t actively participate in global enhancing projects and they are slightly involved in global marketing and world trade; however the company strives towards constant development and growth. Hansen’s Natural has modified their natural products to many other types of drinks, including the energy drink, â€Å"Monster. † Awkwardly, the energy drinks are questionable as a â€Å"natural† product. Hansen’s edge through focusing within the specific market of beverages gives them a more concentrated and direct method to servicing the world. This enables their buyers to find them through increased activity in the extreme sports world. Hansen’s Natural’s launch of the energy drink, Monster has helped boost their company sales globally. In conclusion, it is clear that when comparing globalization within small and large corporations the one major difference between the two corporate philosophies is specialization vs. broad range appeal. Kraft Foods & Hansen’s both appear to encourage and place emphasis on their relationship with their consumers. It is significant that both companies are successful globally because of their status as a small or large company. Both companies are successful in how they progress with technology advancing while never overlooking the consumer. Hence each company is raising the opinion that their corporate culture is driven by the customer need wherever they conduct their business. In reference to the globalization theory, Hansen’s Natural has prospered in marketing its products in the global market because they don’t have a great deal of socio-economic or political resources. In reference to the globalization theory Kraft uses viable development to assist in shaping its complete affiliation to the global market.

The country is controlled by the ruling family and punishments are severe. Its history has had a clear effect upon the nation. Other nations have tried, to no avail, to learn what goes on in North Korea and how to handle the North Korean problem. However, these other countries have been going about the process in the wrong manner. The road to solving the North Korean problem needs to be solidly paved before it can be trod upon. Ninsun is the loving mother of Gilgamesh, although conforming to a stereotypical nurturing mother, she creates a sense of wisdom, both as a goddess and as a mother, using this wisdom to guide Gilgamesh towards his quest. To add to the diverse roles of women in Gilgamesh, Shamhat, a priestess of Ishtar, is the woman who is responsible for the civilization of Enkidu, a key event in providing Gilgamesh with a reason to embark on his quest for immortality. Shamhat’s role in the epic is significant because she is the character who prepares Enkidu to meet and become Gilgamesh’s companion: He tried to catch up, but his body was exhausted, his life-force was spent, his knees trembled he could no longer run like an animal, as he had run before. He turned back to Shamhat, and as he walked, he knew that his mind had somehow grown larger, he knew things now than an animal can’t know. (Mitchell 79) After Shamhat performs her love-arts with Enkidu, it is evident that he is much weaker and no longer able to run wild with the animals, however, he has grown in mind.
